Florida has so
much to
do, you could spend years here and not see and do all you want to.....in
fact, many Floridians do just that, travelling about this wonderful
state as often as possible,
to discover its many faces.
Florida is known for its beaches, of course, and they are truly unrivaled
in the US. But even a day on the beach can mean many things: looking
for seashells in southwest
Florida, surfing in northeast
Florida, having a picnic on the dunes of the panhandle,
watching models make a commercial in Miami,
or snorkelling among tropical fish in the Keys.
Watersports
abound, from fantastic offshore, back-bay and freshwater fishing,
to sailing, boating, kayaking, water-skiing, parasailing and jet-skiing.
Sun-worshippers will settle right in to their place in the sand, or
by a pool, until the more adventurous return. In fact, Florida's weather
is so great that in the southern half of the state, you can almost
wear shorts year-round, with a few exceptional days in the winter.
Tennis
players and golfers should definitely bring their equipment! Or rent
what you need when you arrive: and if you need a partner or an opponent,
that won't be a problem . . . Florida was made for these two sports.

State and national parks in Florida are full of surprises, including
many hot springs, crystal-clear lakes and rivers, ancient oaks and
Cypress trees dripping with spanish moss, canoe trails, campgrounds,
museums and more. And don't forget some of our more memorable inhabitants
- wild parrots, panthers, black bears, alligators, and manatees.
What other state
offers tours of a NASA
facility just a short drive from Mickey
Mouse and major league spring training camps for MLB
teams? Where but Florida can you tour an Everglades Indian Reservation
then pop over to Miami's South Beach for the hottest nightlife in
the USA? Visit a Greek
sponge-diving town, then see a live mermaid
show? Catch Cirque du Soleil's latest, then take an historic paddleboat
tour? Catch a nationally-ranked college football game, then go to
a town
known for UFOs? Nowhere but Florida.
So whether your thing is flip-flops or fly-balls, manatees or mermaids,
we've got you covered.......come to Florida!
